Chole Masala With Puri

Ingredients

1 cup kabuli chana 👉white chick peas👈 soaked overnight
1 tea bag or 1 tbsp of tea leaf tied in 💁muslin cloth
3 Green chillies
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
1/2 cup finely chopped onions 1/2 cup tomato
1/2 tbsp finely chopped ginger
2 tbsp finely chopped garlic
2 tbsp chole masala
1 tbsp chilli powder
1 tbsp dried mango powder
1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp cumin seeds powder
salt to taste , chopped coriander & Lemon 🍋

Method

Combine the kabuli chana, salt, few drops oil, 4 -5 slit green chills, tea bag and enough water in a pressure cooker and pressure cook for 3 to 5 whistles keep aside…

Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid. 👉Discard the tea bag and drain the kabuli chana. Keep aside.

Heat the oil in a deep pan and add the cumin seeds.When the seeds crackle, add the onions, tomatoes 🍅, ginger and garlic and Saute on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minute or till the onions & tomato turn to Soft & smashy . Add the chole masala, chilli powder, dried mango powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder, salt and 1 cup of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2-5 minutes, while stirring occasionally.


Add the kabuli chana, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 5 -7 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Add coriander leaves mix well Mash the kabuli chana once lightly with a help of a masher. Give it nicely boil & Ready to serve…😋👌
