


Poha Chutney ,Chana Usli & Simple vegetable Upma Healthy Traditional Amchi favorite

💁Ingredients
2 cup Thin Rice flakes 💁paper avalakki
1 cup Freshly grated coconut 🥥
1 tbsp mustard seeds
1tbsp coriander seeds
1 /2 tbsp zeera
1 tbsp urad dal
Curry leaves
3 – 4 Whole red chillies
Salt to taste
1tbsp sugar to taste
1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
1 pinch Asafoetida / hing power
💁 Method For Tempering
Heat of oil in a tadka pan, when it is hot add mustard allow it to sizzle add coriander seeds, zeera, urad dal, broken red chillies,turmeric ,hing, curry leaves remove from the flame, add salt & sugar switch off the flame allow it to cool add fresh grated coconut.
Add prepared tempering to flatten thin rice flakes in to it, mix well with your hand ✋properly until the mixture is coated with the flattened rice properly .Toss it once again, avalakki absorbs the flavors of spices, become soft, rest it for 5 min before you serve. Add sugar to adjust to you taste, ready to serve.
💁Chana Usli
Ingredients
1 cup cooked Chana
3 tbsp Oil
1/2 tbsp mustard seeds
2 – 4 Green chilly Chopped
2 sprig Curry leaves
3 Onions
Salt to taste
1/2 cup grated coconut 🥥
Chopped coriander leaves
💁Method
Soak the chana in warm water through the night.Pressure cook the soaked chana until done.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and green chilly and let it crackle. Add chopped Onions, Saute for few minutes. Add cooked chana and salt mix well. Cover & cook for about 4 -5 min. Add grated fresh coconut mix it well.Garnish with Chopped coriander leaves serve hot.
💁Vegetable Upma Healthy, Filling, Absolutely Delicious Mixed Veggies Upma
Today Breakfast of Vegetable Rava Upma…Hot and Delicious..Melting in the🤤 Mouth and yet with the texture and flavours of the different vegetables coming through..The perfect Upma is not too dry, not mushy and has no lumps sitting in anywhere. It is fluffy and flavourful, along with fresh coriander leaves adds the final touch.
💁Ingredient
2 tbsp oil +2 ghee
1 tbsp ghee
2 cup Bombay rava
1 tbsp mustard
1/2 tbsp urad dal
1 tbsp chana dal
few curry leaves
1/4 cup Beans
1/4 cup green peas
1/4 cup Carrot
1/2 cup Capsicum
2 -4 green chilli slit
1inch chopped Ginger
2 onion finely chopped
2 chopped tomato 🍅
salt to taste.
4 -1/2 cup of water
2 tbsp coriander finely chopped
1/2 tbsp lemon 🍋 juice
1 tbsp / One pinch sugar
1/4 cup fresh grated coconut 🥥
💁Method
Take a pan heat oil & ghee mustard seeds, curry leaves add ginger, green chilli, urad dal,chana dal when they begin to splutter, the mixed veggies like 💁 onion, green peas, Carrot, Beans, & Capsicum & 🍅tomato are to be added. Fry the vegetables until they are soft by adding salt & sugar mix it nicely.
Now add rava fry semolina on a low flame in seasoning oil with veggies until it all assumes a colour change . Do not let it burn by increasing the flame 💁At the same time,4 -1/2 cup of 💦 boil water in another vessel. When the semolina turns brown, while pouring water gradually and stirring continuously. Add salt if needed for taste, and cook and simmer for about 5-6 minutes.
Garnish with fresh grated coconut & coriander leaves and squeeze a bit of lime optional Lemon 🍋 juice. Veg Upma is Ready to taste.
