Large White Lima Butter Kidney Beans Curry /White Beans in Spicy Coconut Based Gravy

White beans, also known as white  Lima Butter / Kidney  beans, offer extraordinary health benefits. They are loaded with provide a good supply of  a source of fiber and protein. They help regulate fat storage in the body.

💁Ingredients

1/4 kg or  1 cup White Beans
2 medium size potatoes 🥔 cubes
1/4 tur dal
1 cup grated Coconut 🥥
6 Byadagi red chillies +5 guntur red chillies
Amla size tamarind
1/4  turmeric powder

💁For seasoning

2-3 tbsp Oil
2 medium chopped onions

💁Method

Soak white Beans for 4-5 hours. Boil the white beans & potatoes 🥔 cubes along with water in a pressure cooker for 2 whistles get they are soft add salt keep aside..

In  pressure cooker separately cook 1/4 cup  tur dal for 3- 4 whistles.

Roast red chillies with few drops of oil . Grind them along with 🥥 coconut, tamarind and  turmeric powder add water to  a smooth  masala paste.

In a heavy bottomed kadai. Add cooked white beans, potatoes 🥔 cubes and tur dal add salt bring to boil. Add the ground masala paste, add some water  and bring to boil. Bring the gravy to a low flame for 3- 5 mins Let the white beans cook with the gravy for few more mins . It should not be 💁mushy.

In a seasoning pan . Heat the oil Add the onions and saute till they become translucent fry it nicely till Golden brown. Now pour over the boiling curry. Turn off the heat.

Serve Hot With Hot Hot Rice & Phulka.
