Simple And Healthy Drumstick Leaves Stir Fry / Nugge Soppina Palya

šŸ’Ingredients

3 cup Drumstick leaves 🌿 / Nugge Soppu
1/2Ā  cupĀ  Dal
3-4 Green chilli slit
few curry leaves
1 tbspĀ  Mustard seeds
3 – 4 medium size onions
1 broken Red chilli
2- 3Ā  tbspĀ  oil
1/4 cup  grated fresh 🄄 coconut
Salt to taste
One pinch Sugar

šŸ’Method

šŸ’Easy method to separate leaves from stalk is wrap drumstick leaves in a paper šŸ—žļøand keep it aside for few hours / overnight . Upon openingĀ  you will see šŸ‘€ šŸ‘ļø that most of the leaves haveĀ  already separated from the stalk. Use the fresh leavesĀ  else theyĀ  might be little bitter.

Separate the leaves from the stalk and wash it thoroughly keep aside.

Take a panĀ  add 3-4 cup of water šŸ’¦ boil add dal cook it 75 % when half cooked dalĀ  add Drumstick leaves cook till soft add little salt to taste drainĀ the water keep a side .

Heat oil in a kadai . Add oil , mustard seeds  and allow it to splutter . Later add curry leaves , broken red chilli , green chilli,  add onions saute 3- 5 mins.

Than add cooked dal & durmstick leaves mixture add sugar and salt to taste . Saute for 3-4 mins and cover & cook .

When the dal &  leaves mix well ,finally add grated 🄄 coconut , mix and saute for 1-2 mins till there is no water .Simple and healthy drumstick leaves stir fry/ Nugge Soppina Palya  is ready . Enjoy it with Dal / Rasam.
