💁Ingredients
Soak the Avarekalu in 💦 water for 2 hours . Press each Avarekai gently to take off the outer🤏 skin Keep aside.
1/2 kg / 2 Cup peel Avarekalu
4 tbsp Oil
3 medium size finely chopped onions
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 medium size finely Chopped Tomato
Ingredients For the Masala
1 cup fresh grated 🥥 Coconut
1 tbsp Tamarind Pulp
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
6 Byadagi + 5 Guntur Red Chillies
Salt to taste
make it smooth paste & keep aside.
💁Method
In a heavy bottomed vessel or kadai , heat the oil.Add the onions and saute till they become translucent. Add tomato saute for few mins till tomato smashy . Now add turmeric power and salt to taste. Now adding the Avarekalu cook with onion & tomato for 10-12 minutes. If required add water 💦 When the Avarekalu are just cooked💁 90 % Add the ground masala add 1/2 cup water and mix well avarekalu coating a consistency. Bring the gravy to a low flame for 3- 5 mins. Let the Avarekalu cook with the gravy for few mins .
The Avarekai should just be soft and 💁eassyli break. It should not be 🤌mushy…Turn off the heat. Serve Hot With Hot Hot Chapathi, Rice ,Phulka, or Dosa.
