


Banana Chips have become one of the popular snack across India and can be easily made at home. These banana wafers are made from green raw banana or Nendran. Freshly made banana chips in coconut 🥥 oil .Banana chips are crunchy tea time snacks. Tasty and crispy deep fried banana chips seasoned with red chilli power. Nothing beats the taste of fresh home made banana chips.
💁Ingredients
6 -8 Raw Green Banana 🍌💁 fresh and un ripe Yelakki Banana or Kadali Banana Chips , used raw and the procedure is same as the ordinary Nendrabale chips.
1/2 litre coconut 🥥 Oil for deep frying
💁For Salt Solution
1 tbsp Salt to taste
1/2 cup Water
💁For Seasoning
1 tbsp Red chilli powder / you can use chaat masala powder & pepper powder 💁optional
Just 1 pinch 🤏 salt
1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
💁Method
In a bowl add 1/2 cup of water and 1tbsp salt. Mix well till the salt dissolves in water 💦 and make a salt solution.
In a small 🥣 bowl mix the chilli powder & turmeric power with a very small pinch 🤏salt. Mix well and keep aside the spicy powder and salt mixture.
Peel and deskin Raw Green Bananas and keep aside.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan Once the oil is hot lower the flame . Slice 💁directly using slicer , fry in a medium flame when becomes crispy . Turn and fry them in hot oil till they become slightly crisp. when it is half fried.
Pour 1tbsp salt solution into the hot oil and fry the banana slices till the 💁sizzling sound stops.
Once the banana slices become crisp remove from hot oil and transfer the deep fried banana chips to a wide 🥣 bowl.
Sprinkle red chilli powder and turmeric power mixture over the deep fried banana chips and mix well.
Store the deep fried Banana chips in a clean airtight container. Up to 10 -15 days fresh & crunchy.
