Beetroot Kurma / Coconut Based Gravy With Hot Hot Chapathi

Beetroot Kurma is a nutrient side dish or curry made with the goodness of beetroot cooked together in an aromatic spicy kurma masala made of coconut based and other spices.

💁Ingredients

1/2 kg – 1 cup beetroot chopped into small cubes
1 cup Fresh grated coconut 🥥
8 Dry Bedagi red chillies + 5 guntur red chillies
Amla Size Tamarind
4 -6 garlic covers
1 tbsp jeera seeds
salt to taste
1pinch sugar 🤌

💁For Seasoning

2-3 tbsp oil
3 finely chopped onions
1 /2 tbsp garam masala powder
Handfull of ✊ Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

💁Method

Peel the beetroot and cut it into small cubes. Add salt & while cooking beetroots add one pinch , or 1/2 tbsp sugar it’s give nice colour in beetroot cook till soft.

💁For Masala Paste

1 cup fresh grated 🥥 coconut red whole chilli’s, small piece of tamarind , garlic covers,  cumin seeds add required water for grinding make it smooth fine paste .

Take a pan add oil once hot add onions saute until onions turn light brown. Now turn to low flame add garam masala.add cooked beetroots cubes add grind coconut masala paste.mix well  till it oil zoom out . on low flame till the spices are cooked well. mix continuously keeping the flame on low.or till beetroot absorbs the spices.add finally  coriander leaves mix well and serve .

The Beetroot Kurma Gravy goes well with Chapati , Puri , Rotis &  🍚 Rice too .
