Crab Ambat

A gravy prepared by Crabs 🦀cooked in freshly ground 🥥 coconut. Konkani Delicacy 🦀 Crab has a sweet and intense flavor. Which makes the dish tasty. Crab curry is very easy to make. It is a tasty meal where you can enjoy the spicy coconut masala. When you have the curry after 3-4 hours of preparation the 🦀crab tastes still much great &😋 yummy. Do try this simple recipe and I am sure you will like it .

💁Ingredients

1kg big crabs🦀 7-8
4 medium onions
1 cup fresh 🥥 coconut
2 tbsp coriander seeds
10 Byadagi red chillies +4 Guntur red chillies
Small Amla size tamarind
2 Green chillies & coriander leaves
4 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste

💁Method

Clean the 🦀crabs . If the crab 🦀is big, cut them into 2 pieces to make eating easier. Slightly crush the 🦵 🍗 legs with pestle 💁beat it just once or twice just to crack the outer shell slightly.

Heat 1tbsp of oil and fry coriander seeds & red chillies. Grind them along with 🥥 coconut and tamarind to a smooth paste.

Heat 3tbsp oil and fry onions till they are slightly brownish. Now add the 🦀crabs and add Salt to taste cook for around 5 min. Add ground masala, long slit green chillies & Coriander leaves give it 2 -3 boil nicely . Serve hot with rice.

💁The taste of gravy increases once the crabs 🦀absorbs the gravy. So preferably serve it after 3-4 hours.
