Pathrado Steamy Colocasia Rolls Konkani Delicacy Lovely Combination With Dalthithoy G.S.B kuldevo Heavenly Meals 😋😘

💁Ingredients

25 -30 colocasia leaves
2 cup dosa rice
1 big whole grated 🥥 coconut 👉more coconut you add, softer pathrado you get
1 lemon sized tamarind & optional few 6 – 8 Bilimbi here i used
20 – 25 Guntur red chillies & + 10 Byadagi red chillies
Salt to taste
Aamla size hing / 1/2 tbsp asafoetida power

💁Method For Masala Paste

Soak dosa rice for atleast 2 -3 hours .After it’s been soaked, wash and drain all the water.

Grind first grated coconut 🥥 tamarind, red chillies, salt, asafoetida soaked for few minutes to soften, using as little water as possible into a fine Paste .Transfer the batter into a bowl.

Add soaked rice make it coarse paste. Mix coconut 🥥 & rice coarse batter Transfer into a
blow mix both well and keep it aside.

This ground rice batter is called. 👉 “Pathrade peet ” in Konkani, peet meaning batter in Konkani.

💁Cut off the stem portion from the colocasia leaves. Carefully remove any thick💁 veins present in the center, on the back of the colocasia leaves using a sharp🔪 knife. not to tear off colocasia leaves while you devein them. Keep the biggest leaf upside down on a clean surface. The pointed end of the leaf should be facing away from you.

Apply a layer of ground masala uniformly on the back of the leaf. Using your fingers ✋ cover the entire leaf with a layer of masala.Keep another leaf on the first leaf and repeat till you have a stack of 6 – 8 leaves 👉depending on how lthick/thin you want your pathrado 👈with a coating of masala on them.

Fold the stack of leaves on either sides and apply masala on them. Start rolling it from one end. Start from your end and work towards top. Continue rolling till you reach the other end. Roll them tightly while u cook open up. Repeat the above smearing, rolling process with rest of the colocasia leaves.

Meanwhile get a steamer . Add water .Then place the inside the steamer. Steam them for 10-minutes on high flame and then for 20 minutes on medium to low flame. Serve pathrode steaming hot with lots of coconut oil on top. Steaming hot pathrode will be super soft. Ready to Serve as a Side Dish.. Lovely Combination With Curd 🍚 Rice.💞👌
