Seasons 1st Mango 🄭 In A Spicy, Sweet Coconut 🄄 Gravy Ambe Sasam

The King of fruits” Mango 🄭 is a juicy, nutritionĀ  rich stone fruit with exclusive fragrance, flavour, varieties and health enhancing benefits. It is also known to be rich in Vitamins, MineralsĀ  You can prepareĀ  it in Desserts,Milk Shakes, Juices or Smoothies.

šŸ’Ingredients

2-3Ā  medium sized ripe mango šŸ’Here I m used 🄭Alphonso Mango šŸ‘‰ you can use any ur choice of mangoes .
1 cup  fresh grated coconut 🄄
  Peanut 🄜 sized tamarind
4 -6Ā  dried red chilliešŸŒ¶ļø
1/4 tbsp ofĀ  Raw Mustard Seeds for masala paste
2 tbps or small piecesĀ  of jaggery as per your required taste
Salt to taste

šŸ’For seasoning

1/2Ā  tbspĀ  of oil
1 leaflet of curry leaves
1/4 tbspĀ  of mustard seeds for seasoning
Whole broken red dry chillies

šŸ’Method

Peel and cube the mango. Chop them into bite sized pieces and keep it aside.

Grind grated coconut, tamarind, salt, jaggery šŸ’ 1/2 tbsp #Raw_Mustard_Seeds and dried red chillies into a coarse paste šŸ’using just as much water as you needšŸ’Transfer this ground masala into a mixing bowl.add little water šŸ’if the masala is too thick. Consistency of this dish sasam is in between šŸ’semi-thick to thick.check and adjust salt, jaggery. Add jaggery according to your tasteĀ  šŸ’Depending on how sweet you would like your sasamšŸ’Then add in cubedĀ  mango🄭 to the gravy and mix well.

šŸ’Seasoning
Heat oil in aĀ  pan, add in mustard seeds. When they start popping, add in curry leaves and fryĀ  redĀ  chilliesĀ  let them sizzle for few seconds. Remove off heat and pour this seasoning to the gravy in the bowl and mix well. Serve it as a side dish for Lunch.ā˜šŸ˜˜šŸ˜‹
