šIngredients
2-3Ā medium sized ripe mango šHere I m used š„Alphonso Mango š you can use any ur choice of mangoes .
1 cupĀ fresh grated coconut š„„
Ā Peanut š„ sized tamarind
4 -6Ā dried red chillieš¶ļø
1/4 tbsp ofĀ Raw Mustard Seeds for masala paste
2 tbps or small piecesĀ of jaggery as per your required taste
Salt to taste
šFor seasoning
1/2Ā tbspĀ of oil
1 leaflet of curry leaves
1/4 tbspĀ of mustard seeds for seasoning
Whole broken red dry chillies
šMethod
Peel and cube the mango. Chop them into bite sized pieces and keep it aside.
Grind grated coconut, tamarind, salt, jaggery š 1/2 tbsp #Raw_Mustard_Seeds and dried red chillies into a coarse paste šusing just as much water as you needšTransfer this ground masala into a mixing bowl.add little water šif the masala is too thick. Consistency of this dish sasam is in between šsemi-thick to thick.check and adjust salt, jaggery. Add jaggery according to your tasteĀ šDepending on how sweet you would like your sasamšThen add in cubedĀ mangoš„ to the gravy and mix well.
šSeasoning
Heat oil in aĀ pan, add in mustard seeds. When they start popping, add in curry leaves and fryĀ redĀ chilliesĀ let them sizzle for few seconds. Remove off heat and pour this seasoning to the gravy in the bowl and mix well. Serve it as a side dish for Lunch.āšš
