


Jhatpat Spicy Broken Egg 🥚 Curry
Egg Drop Curry / Broken Egg Gravy / 💁It is a quick curry which we can reserve for lazy days. 💁Usually, our regular egg curry with boiled eggs can also be made very quickly, but the specialty in this 💁Egg 🥚 drop curry is that it the eggs don’t need to be boiled separately.
💁Ingredients
6-8 Egg 🥚
2 medium Onions finely chopped
1 medium Tomato
1/4 tbsp Turmeric Powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1/2 jeera powder
1 tbsp kitchen King masala power
1/4 tbsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
💁To grind
1/2 cup Coconut gratings
6 Bedagi red chillies+ 5 Guntur red chillies
1inch Ginger
4-6 Cloves garlic
Handfull ✊ of coriander leaves
8-10 pudina petals
1/2 tbsp Fennel seeds
Tamarind small gooseberry size
Salt to taste
💁Method
Keep all the ingredients ready as mentioned above.
In the mean time, grind the ingredients given for grinding by adding little water and keep aside.
Take a broad vessel with flat bottom, pour oil and season with the items given. Add finely chopped onions and saute till the onion becomes brownish in colour. Add tomato and cook till tomato turns soft and you see oil separating from the sides of the pan. Add all dry masala powders given above and saute till oil leaves from the masala.add salt to taste.
Add the ground masala paste. and cook until oil separates.Once the raw smell off the masala. Now add water, the quantity depends how you prefer the end consistency to be.💁sufficient water to make gravy consistency .When the gravy is to boil. Break the egg and carefully drop the broken egg into the gravy. Each egg 🥚 repeat the same pattern. Close with a lid and cook in simmer for 5 mins. Open the lid flat spatula pour some gravy over the egg so that the egg 🥚 will get cooked faster.
Then close the lid and keep in fire for 2mins. Once the eggs 🥚 are cooked, switch off… Serve With Kori roti, Neer Dosa, Appam, Dosa & Parota. This Goes Well with Rice Too…
