Season’s First Kadgi / Raw Jackfruit Side Dish Kadgi Chakko /Sukha / Sukke

💁Kadgi Means Raw Jack Fruit. Chakko is a kind of side dish with coconut based. This dish is one of the most popular dishes among Konkani.

💁Ingredients

2 cup 👉roughly chopped Raw jackfruit
2 cup Fresh grated coconut 🥥
2 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tbsp urad dal
marble size tamarind extract
8  Byadagi chillies +5-6  Guntur red chilies
Small piece jaggery
Salt to taste

💁For Seasoning

3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp mustard seeds
2 spring curry leaves
1 broken red chillie

💁Method

Heat a little oil and fry urad dal till golden brown add coriander seeds  Grind them with 🥥 coconut, jaggery, red chilies and tamarind to a coarse paste 💁do not add too much water.

Cut the jackfruit into bite size pieces. Cooking in pressure cooker for only 2 whistle … when pressure comes down… Once it’s cool.. Crush them lightly with a hand ✋ or rolling pin keep aside.

Heat 3 tbsp of oil and add mustard seeds. When they start popping, add broken red chillies & curry leaves. Add cooked Jack Fruit and fry for a minute. Mixing in between. Add piece of  required jaggery & salt to taste Mix well.Put the ground masala, add a little water. Cook on a low flame for around 8-10 mins mix in between well.

Ready to Serve As Side Dish Raw Jackfruit 🤗😋Kadgi Chakko / Kadgi Sukha / Sukke.
