💁Potato 🥔papad is so thin, light and delicious you can remain to munch all day long.This papad is a perfect crunchy snacking companion and can be eaten ideal during fasting.awesome addition to your meals.Indian meal or indian thali is made up of many dishes and items which makes it a complete balanced meal served for lunch or dinner. this includes curries, rice, chapati, chutney, pickle ,dessert and varieties of papads recipe. In this post, i am sharing one such variety prepared with 🥔 potatoes & 🌾 rice.

💁Ingredients

1kg Potato 🥔
1 kg / 4 pav/4 cup soaked dosa rice
100gm Red chillies 💁as per u r spicy
3 -4 peanut size Hing / Asafoetida
Salt to taste
Water required to make batter

💁Method

Soak the rice for 🕞 3 hours , Then wash and grind along with the chillies, hing to a fine batter of dosa consistency . Add the salt and mix well .

Heat a steaming & keep the batter in it ..
Steam for about 20 minutes . so you can divide it into 2-3 batches.Each batch has to be steamed for about 20 mins .It gets done in 20 mins .💁No need to check

If you try to steam the 👉full quantity of batter all together, it does not cook👉 evenly.

If you have a thatte idli stand as i show in picture. you can divide the batter In the 3 to 5 trays and cook together in the steamer for 20 mins…

Pressure cook the potatoes for 3 whistles . Peel them when it’s cool . Now we need a coconut Grating / or shevai press maker. Add the potato and press to get a smooth potato mash .

Add the potato mash to the rice cooked / steam batter..Mix well and add salt if required …knead the dough and make small balls of it . Now apply little oil on a plastic sheet and keep in a papad maker.Keep the ball in between and using the presser make a flat disc Or papad machine. Remove it to a large sheet which you will be using to dry all the happolu / papad.

Make it remains same process happolus on the sheet a 👉little gap from each other👈 keep under the sun until they turned dry minimum 3 days.Let cool first before you stock them in an air tight container .
