💁Gavnche Bhenda Sagle / Ladys Finger Coconut Based Curry

💁👇Ingredients
1/2 kg Lady’s Fingers/ Bhenda
1 cup Fresh Coconut
10 -12 Roasted Byadgi Red Chillies & guntur chillies as per ur spicy
Amla size tamarind
1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
1- 1/2 Urad dal
1/4 tbsp Fenugreek Methi Seeds
Salt to taste
1/2 tbsp Mustard
Few Curry Leaves
2 tbsp Oil
💁Method
Wash the Bhendi and spread them dry on a kitchen towel cut off the two ends and cut the lady’s fingers into 1- 1/2 ” pieces keep a side .
Heat 1 tsp of oil and roast the coriander seeds,urad dal and methi seeds in a pan till they change colour and give off a good aroma. Keep aside .
In a mixer, grind together fresh coconut , roasted red chillies, tamarind, and the roasted coriander ,urad dal and methi seeds, adding the required amount of water, to a coarse paste.
In the same pan, heat 2 tsp of oil and add the Lady’s fingers pieces and a little salt, and saute.Cook covered over low flame till the lady’s fingers are half done. As lady’s fingers gets cooked fast, make sure they are not overcooked .Now add the ground masala and salt,mix well and bring to a nicely boil.
In the pan, heat oil and add mustard when it splutters add the curry leaves. Pour this seasoning onto the Bhenda sagle.
Ready to serve hot Lady’s finger curry with Rice & Dal.
