


Delicious Kerala Style Breakfast Puttu With Green Gram Curry / Cherupayar Curry…
💁Ingredients
2 cup Green gram
2 medium Potato or Raw banana . 💁Here I used potatoes
1 cup fresh grated coconut
2 chopped Onions
5-6 green chillies
1/2 tbsp Zeera
1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
2 string Curry leaves
1/2 tbsp Chillie powder
3 tbsp oil
1/2 tbsp Mustard seeds
2 broken whole red chillies
3- 4 flakes of Garlic
Salt to taste
💁Method
First wash & soak green gram 4 -6 hours. Now Cook green gram & potato add chopped onions, turmeric powder , 1or 2 green chillies , 1/4 tbsp red chilli powder & salt to taste for 2 whistles. In pressure cooker & allow it to cool.
💁For Masala Paste
Take fresh grated coconut along with 3-4 green chillies, turmeric powder, garlic, zeera and grind to a smooth paste. Now Add this masala paste to cooked green gram and give it to a nice boil after few mins. Add 1 cup of water or as required to adjust the consistency.. Cook the gravy now cover the lid and allow to cook on low flame for 3 mins. Once completely absorbing the flavours Aroma to gravy. Switch off the flame.
Heat oil in pan add mustard seeds and curry leaves to splutter add few whole red chillies piece. Switch of the flame. Then add this mixture to curry…Ready to Serve With Puttu…
