Ingredients

11/2 cups poha thick variety๐Ÿ’ flattened
4 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
4 -6 slit green chilies
1 medium potato chopped into small cubes batata
3 medium onions finely chopped
1 medium tomato ๐Ÿ…
1/2 tbsp mustard seeds
1/4 tbsp cumin seeds
1tbsp Chana dal
1 tbsp urad dal
8 to 9 curry leaves / kadi patta
1/4 cup fresh grated coconut ๐Ÿฅฅ
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tbsp lemon juice. ๐Ÿ‹
Salt to taste
sugar as required ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ‘‰usually add up to 1 tbsp of sugar optional๐Ÿ‘ˆ๐Ÿ‘ˆ

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ‘‡Method For Kanda Batata Poha

pick the poha first. rinse the poha in clean running water in a strainer.

๐Ÿ’Make sure that you do not rinse it too much or else it breaks and gets ๐Ÿ’mushy. while rinsing, the poha absorbs enough water and it becomes soft.๐Ÿ‘ˆ

The poha must become soft but remain intact, whole and separate.sprinkle the sugar and salt in the poha. also peel the potatoes and chop them into small cubes keep aside.

Take a kadai add oil, mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, slit green chillies, curry leaves, while change colour , add onion, tomato & potatoes, fry it nicely till potato cooked add Salt , one pinch turmeric, mix it well add soaked poha mix it well close the lid for 5 -6 mins add fresh grated coconut, coriander leaves & Lemon juice.
