
Fresh Green Pigeon Peas & Potato Curry / Jeev Tori & Batate Ambat / Togarikalu
💁Jeev thori is nothing but fresh Pigeon peas .Tori available during winter season only . They have a outer cover like the fresh green peas.
💁👇Ingredients
2 cup Tender thori / fresh pigeon peas
2 medium Potatoes skin removed
1+1 / 2 medium chopped Onion
1 medium size chopped tomato
Salt to taste
💁👇For Seasoning
2 tbsp oil
1 medium size chopped onion
💁👇For the Masala
1 cup fresh grated coconut
8- 10 Roasted red chillies 6 Byadagi +4 Guntur red chillies
Amla size Tamarind
💁👇Method
Grind coconut along with chilli & tamarind adding required water to a smooth fine paste .
Cook thori along with skin removed potatoes, 1 chopped onion and 1 tomato till soft in a Pressure cooker for 2-3 whistle. When cool remove the lid add salt to taste . Add the ground paste to the cooked vegetable & add enough water to dilute adjusting gravy consistency . Cover & cook for few more mins and bring to boil .Switch off gas.
In a small seasoning pan add little oil and fry the another finely chopped onion till they get a golden brown colour. Pour this on the prepare curry.
Serve with hot rice or as a side dish. 😋🤗
