



Prawns 🦐🍤 Curry / Sungta Hinga Udda/ Spicy Asafoetida Prawns Curry
💁This 🦐 Prawns Curry is an Authentic Konkani Cuisine. And is eaten as a gravy with boiled rice. I love the strong taste of hing/asafoetida and coconut oil.
💁👇Ingredients
1 /2 kg 🦐🍤 prawns
6-5 Byadagi + Guntur red chillies
Amla size Tamarind
1 cup fresh Grated coconut 🥥
1 tbsp Coconut oil
🤏 Peanut size Asafoetida hard hing or power hing & slit green chillies optional
Salt to taste
Method
Mix the hing with little amount of water and set it aside till the asafoetida dissolves.
Meanwhile in a mixer jar add the fresh grated coconut, along with roasted red chillies & tamarind grind till smooth paste.
Wash and devein the prawn 🦐🍤 and wash it thoroughly with water.
In a wide pan add the little water add cleaned prawns 🦐🍤 make it one boil …Now add ground masala and a cup of water and bring it to boil.and also add asafoetida mixed with water. Mix well and add slit green chillies close the lid and cook on medium flame till prawns observe the masala flavour💁 but not over cooked. over cooking results get hard prawns.🦐
Now Add 1 tbsp coconut oil and close the lid .
