

Mangalorean Prawn Sukka π¦π€ is a dish from the west coast of South India.It is a bright orange.πRed in some cases spicy and Tangy prawn roast made with fresh coconut and dry red chillies.
ππ Ingredients for Masala Paste
1 Small roughly Chopped raw onion
1 tbsp Dry roast Coriander seeds
Peanut size tamarind
10 -12 Dry roast red chillies
1cup fresh π₯₯ grated coconut
1 tbsp cumin seeds
2 raw Garlic pieces
Salt to taste
ππOther Ingredients For Seasoning
2 cup Medium sized prawns π¦π€
1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tbsp mustard seeds
2 medium size chopped onions
Chopped coriander leaves
ππMethod
Clean & wash prawns π€π¦
Marinate the cleaned prawns with Pinch of salt & turmeric powder. after 10 mins add
1/4 cup of water & cook for 3 -4 mins & Keep aside.
First Make a fine paste of red dry chillies, a piece of tamarind, Dry roasted coriander seeds & raw roughly chopped small raw onion required water to make smooth paste.
Then add fresh grated coconut, zeera, raw 2-3 flakes Garlic π§ Use less water as we are making sukka and not gravy .Make sure we need π coarse paste. πnot too smooth paste.
Heat a kadai add 2 tbsp oil now add mustard seeds finally chopped Onions Saute until onions are translucent. Add prepared coarse masala paste.Cook it for 10 min with covered lid . After its almost cooked, masala β¦Then add cooked prawns and salt if needed Cook it for 2 more min.When itβs done garnish with fresh coriander leaves.Ready to Serve Prawns Sukkaβ¦ ππ€π€€
