Today being our 16th Wedding Anniversary , what better way to celebrate it than by enjoying a bowl of delicious Rice Pudding..
Doodh Paak / Rice Kheer/ Payasam on this Special Occasions..
💁👇Ingredients
💁Thick bottom/ Base pan or kadai
1 1/2 litre whole milk
1 cup basmati rice washed and soaked for 👉 20 minutes
3 -4 tbsp ghee
1 1/2 cup sugar as per ur taste
3-4 tbsp Badma Power
3 whole green cardamom powder
few saffron strands for flavour
Toppings
Cashew nut & Badam
2 tbsp chopped pista
💁👇 Method
Wash rice and for flavour add taste of to get infused…3 cardamom into the kheer..pressure cook for 2 whistles it until done.
Take a heavy bottom pan, Pour milk in the pan and bring it to boil, keep the heat on medium.. Transfer the cooked rice into a cooking pan… along with a few saffron strands with soaked milk for flavour.. and mix well.
👉When u add sugar before u have to check 💁 u r rice already cooked well or not … 👈 As sugar doesn’t let the rice cook later ..After adding sugar👈 add 3 tbsp Badma Power . Mix well and let the sugar dissolve.Then simmer for few min⌚ so as to get a thick consistency. ..However add more milk if the kheer gets too dry or thick and starts sticking to the bottom of the pan.. Stir once in a while to prevent the kheer from sticking to the bottom of the pan..
Now heat ghee in a frying pan, add cashews nuts, Badam & pista and fry them until golden brown. Add fried dry fruits add into the kheer… Once the milk, sugar and rice have combined well to give a thick.. consistency remove from gas… Ready to Serve the kheer Hot Hot or Chilled…😋👌
