💁Red beans, also known as Grow Hopi Red Beans Pole Kidney Beans, offer extraordinary health benefits. They are loaded with provide a good supply of  a source of fiber and protein. They help regulate fat storage in the body. It is also known as 💁Thambdi Bee in Konkani. Since Bendi is a spicy dish in konkani cuisine, i have used lot of red chillies to get the authentic taste.You can use as per ur spicy the number of red chillies according to your taste.

Ingredients

1/2 kg  fresh red beans
1/4 kg yam

💁opinion 10 – 15 crushed peeled  jackfruit  seeds or potato & yam  also u can used for this curry 💁here I used yam.
1 cup grated Coconut
6+7  Dry guntur & Byadgi red chillies
Amla size tamarind

💁For seasoning

2tbsp Oil
2 whole cloves Garlic
💁crushed lightly along with skin👈

Method

Peel & remove red beans seeds along with water in a pressure cooker for 3  whistle get they  soft keep aside.

Cut  yam in to medium sized pieces not 💁very small.Take cup of water & yam  cook this in  a pan preferably . Cook this till yam is 95% cooked .if the yam is good with in 5 mins it gets cooked then strain it.

For Bendi Masala

Roast red chillies. Grind them along with coconut, tamarind and water to a smooth paste.

Now take a heavy bottomed pan, transfer the  cooked beans and yam along with stock  add salt bring to boil. Add the ground  masala paste and bring to boil.

💁For seasoning

Heat tbsp of Oil. Add crushed garlic  8 cloves .fry till golden brown. Pour it over the curry.


Serve Lip Smacking Bendi With Hot Rice, Pumpkin Bharath /  Tambali Gojju /Cocont Based Curry  & Crispy Green Chilli Podi…. Papad or Pickles..
