


Phova Chutney / Beaten Flattened Rice Seasoned /Masala Poha With Banana & Hot Hot Cup of Tea ☕
A Traditional, Healthy Breakfast Dish of the 💁Konkani 🏠 House. 👉It is a dry mixture of phova / beaten or flattened rice👈 yummy combo with banana 🍌🍌or you can have it as it is. It is a quick dish as phova, coconut and the spices along with sugar. This can be served as 💁 Breakfast Dish or ☕ Tea Time snack… Good Combo With Chana Usli… & Upma too
💁👇 Ingredients For tempering
1-1/2 cups or as much as needed, poha 👉Thin variety👈 or beaten rice flakes /Thelu avalakki
2 cup Freshly grated coconut 🥥
1 tbsp mustard seeds
1tbsp coriander seeds
1 tbsp zeera
1 tbsp urad dal
Curry leaves
3 -4 Whole red chillies
Salt and sugar to taste
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1 pinch 🤏Asofietida – power
💁👇Method
Heat 3 tsp of oil in a tadka pan, when it is hot add mustard allow it to sizzle add Urad dal ,coriander seeds, zeera, red chilli, turmeric ,hing, curry leaves remove from the flame, add salt & sugar after tempering cool
add fresh grated coconut .Now crushed red chillies along with coconut with ur hand ✋ until coconut & tempering mix nicely .
Add flatten thin rice flakes in to it, mix well with your hand ✋ properly until the mixture is coated with the flattened rice properly .Toss it once again, avalakki absorbs the flavors of spices, becomes soft, rest it for 5 min before you serve. Add sugar to adjust to you taste, ready to serve..
