Today’s Special Moong Dal Payasam

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡Ingredients

1 cup Moong dal
3/4 cup jaggery
1 whole coconut ๐Ÿฅฅ of scraped
3 tbsp ghee
10 to 12 cashew nuts and
2 tbsp raisins
1/4 tbsp cardamom powder

๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡Method

Take one cup of Moong dal wash n soak for 15 mins.

In a pan or pressure cooker add some water and cook until the moong dal is just ๐Ÿค— done.

Meanwhile, melt the jaggery along with the cup of ๐ŸŒŠwater. Filter the jaggery syrup through a fine ๐Ÿ’strainer and add it to the cooked moong dal.

Meanwhile take 1 whole coconut ๐Ÿฅฅ of scraped grind and extract 1st thick coconut ๐Ÿฅฅmilk & 2nd thin coconut ๐Ÿฅฅ milk.

First add the 2nd thin extracted coconut milk and let it cook on slow flame for 5 mins. Later add the 1st thick coconut milk. Give it nicely let it boil for another 3 mins.

In a small pan add 2 -3 tbsp of ghee roast few cashew nuts and raisins for few mins. When it’s nice golden colour.Now add 1/4 tbsp of cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts n raisins to the
Moong Dal Payasam .Sweet, Delicious Payasam is Ready to Serve.
